Membership & Commercial Licence Terms

1. Who these terms are between

These terms form an agreement between PrepReady ("we", "us", "our") and you, the member ("you"). They apply from the moment you subscribe to any PrepReady membership tier and continue for as long as you hold a membership or retain any files obtained through one.

Memberships are currently sold and billed through MakerWorld. MakerWorld's own terms govern the platform, your account and the payment process. These terms govern what you may do with PrepReady designs. Where MakerWorld's platform terms conflict with these terms in relation to the operation of the platform itself, MakerWorld's terms apply to that platform matter.

2. Definitions

• Design — any PrepReady 3D model, in any file format, including STL, STEP, 3MF and any print profile, together with associated images, text and documentation.
• Digital file — the Design itself as a file, in any format, whether original, converted, modified, repaired or re-exported.
• Physical print — a tangible object you produce by 3D printing a Design.
• Commercial sale — selling, bartering or otherwise supplying a Physical print for money or other value, including as part of a kit, bundle or packaged product.
• Membership period — the period for which your subscription is paid and active.

3. Membership tiers

PrepReady offers three tiers. The features of each are described on our membership page and on MakerWorld. Prices are in US dollars and billed monthly.

Where this table and a tier description differ, the tier description published at the time you subscribed applies.

4. What your licence allows

Subject to these terms and while your membership is active, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide, revocable licence to:

All tiers

• Download and 3D print the Designs available to your tier.
• Make Physical prints for your own personal use, and for gifts, provided no money or other value changes hands.
• Print in any material, colour or scale, and adjust print settings as you see fit.
• Modify a Design for your own printing purposes, subject to clause 5.

Commercial Seller License and Pro Seller only

• Make and sell an unlimited number of Physical prints of the Designs.
• Sell them through any channel: your own website, online marketplaces, physical retail, market stalls, craft fairs and events.
• Photograph your own Physical prints and use those photographs to market and sell them.
• Sell under your own business name and branding.

Pro Seller only

• Include Physical prints in kits, bundles and packaged products alongside other items.
• Request a custom logo or text applied to eligible existing Designs. This covers reasonable customisation of existing Designs and does not include unlimited bespoke design work; what is eligible and reasonable is determined by us acting in good faith.
• Access available STEP files for eligible Designs.

5. What is not allowed

Under every tier, including Pro Seller, you must not:

• Sell, share, gift, lend, redistribute, sublicense or publish any Digital file, in any format, to any person, whether for money or for free. This is the core restriction and it has no exceptions.
• Upload any Digital file to MakerWorld, Printables, Thingiverse, Cults3D, Thangs, Patreon, a Discord server, a cloud drive, a file-sharing service, a torrent, or any other platform or public location.
• Include any Digital file in a bundle, pack, course, membership or subscription of your own.
• Present a Design as your own work, or claim authorship of it.
• Register, or attempt to register, any intellectual property right in a Design or in anything derived from one.
• Use a Design to create a competing model library, design service or subscription.
• Share your membership account or login with any other person or business.
• Use a Design in any unlawful way, or in a way that brings PrepReady into disrepute.

Modified and derivative files

You may modify a Design for your own printing. A modified, converted, repaired, remeshed, scaled or re-exported file remains a Digital file under these terms and remains subject to every restriction above. Modification does not create a new work that you own, and does not release the file from this licence.

Personal Use tier

The Personal Use tier does not permit Commercial sales of Physical prints of any kind. If you want to sell what you print, upgrade to the Commercial Seller License or higher.

6. Attribution and branding

You are not required to credit PrepReady when selling Physical prints, though it is appreciated.

Some Designs carry embossed or debossed PrepReady branding. On the Personal Use tier this branding may remain on applicable models. On the seller tiers, de-branded versions are provided where available. You must not remove, obscure or alter PrepReady branding on a Design except by using a de-branded version we have supplied to you, or where we have given you written permission.

You must not use the PrepReady name, logo or branding in a way that suggests your business is operated by, endorsed by, partnered with or affiliated with PrepReady. You may factually state that a product was printed from a PrepReady design under licence.

7. Payment, renewal and cancellation

• Memberships are billed monthly in US dollars and renew automatically until cancelled.
• Billing, payment methods, invoices, refunds and cancellation are handled by MakerWorld under their terms and processes. Cancel through your MakerWorld account.
• Cancelling stops future billing. Your membership and its rights continue until the end of the Membership period you have already paid for.
• We may change membership pricing. Any change applies from your next billing period, and we will give reasonable notice before it takes effect. If you do not accept a price change, you may cancel.
• We may add, change or withdraw individual Designs from the library at any time. We will not do so in a way that renders a tier substantially different from what was advertised.

8. What happens when membership ends

This clause matters most, so it is stated plainly.

What you keep

• Physical prints you have already sold stay sold. You do not need to recall them, refund buyers or notify anyone. Your customers keep what they bought, permanently.
• Physical prints you already made and still hold in stock may be sold or otherwise disposed of for 90 days after your membership ends. This gives you a fair window to clear existing inventory.
• Physical prints you made for your own personal use remain yours to keep and use.

What stops

• Your right to download Designs ends immediately.
• Your right to make new Physical prints for Commercial sale ends immediately.
• After the 90-day sell-through window, all Commercial sale rights end entirely.
• You must delete all Digital files in your possession, including modified versions and backups.

The restrictions in clause 5 survive the end of your membership and continue to apply indefinitely.

9. Intellectual property

All Designs, Digital files, images, documentation and the PrepReady name and branding remain the intellectual property of PrepReady at all times. Your membership grants you a licence to use them within the limits set out here. It does not transfer ownership of anything.

This applies equally to files you have modified. Nothing in these terms gives you any ownership interest in a Design or any derivative of one.

10. Product safety and your responsibility

PrepReady designs include items intended for outdoor, emergency and survival contexts. Read this clause carefully.

• Designs are supplied as digital models only. We do not manufacture, inspect, test or certify anything you print.
• The strength, durability and safety of a Physical print depend on your printer, material, print settings, post-processing and use. These are entirely within your control and outside ours.
• No PrepReady design is certified safety equipment, medical equipment, or personal protective equipment, and none should be relied upon as a substitute for professionally manufactured and certified equipment where life or safety is at stake.
• Designs that carry medical or emergency information, such as blood type tags or emergency contact cards, are aids only. They are not medical devices and must not be relied on as the sole source of critical information.
• If you sell Physical prints, you are the manufacturer and supplier of those goods. You are solely responsible for complying with all product safety laws, labelling requirements, consumer guarantees, testing obligations and regulations that apply in every jurisdiction where you sell, and for holding any insurance appropriate to your business.
• You must not market or sell a Physical print with any claim about safety, certification, compliance or performance that you cannot substantiate yourself.

You indemnify PrepReady against any claim, loss, damage, cost or liability arising from Physical prints you make, sell or supply, from how you have marketed them, or from your breach of these terms — except to the extent the claim arises from our own negligence or breach.

11. No warranty

Subject to clause 13, Designs are provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that a Design will be fit for any particular purpose, will print successfully on your equipment, will be free of defects or errors, or will remain available in the library.

12. Limitation of liability

Subject to clause 13, and to the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, data or anticipated savings, arising from your membership or your use of any Design.
• Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these terms is limited to the total membership fees you paid us in the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.

13. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), including the Australian Consumer Law, or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

If our goods or services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, and we are entitled to limit our liability for a failure to comply with such a guarantee, our liability is limited — at our option — to resupplying the services or paying the cost of having them resupplied.

14. Breach and termination

If you breach these terms — in particular by selling, sharing or re-uploading Digital files — we may suspend or terminate your membership immediately and without refund, and require you to delete all Digital files in your possession.

Termination for breach ends all licence rights immediately, including the 90-day sell-through window in clause 8. We reserve all other rights and remedies available to us, including seeking damages and injunctive relief, and issuing takedown notices to platforms hosting infringing files.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always published at prepready.com.au/membership-license and the "last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.

We will give reasonable notice of material changes. Continuing your membership after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, you may cancel, and the terms in force when you subscribed will apply until the end of your current Membership period.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland and the courts competent to hear appeals from them.

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, it is severed and the remaining provisions continue in full force.
